The knocked-back architecture of Catherine Lowe’s hazy phantasmagoria announces the stage upon which her painting unravels. Her surfaces are segmented into passages of moments recalled in various degrees of clarity or opaqueness. Figuration charted through an abstraction of both mark and narrative sees nebulous moments of becoming that never quite mature into being and separated from a more descript landscape of action structural form.
