Matt Carey-Williams is pleased to present a solo exhibition of new works by Theodore Ereira-Guyer.

Created during a period of change, marked by the birth of his son, the exhibition reflects on cycles of departure and renewal, memory and inheritance. Suspended between the earthly and the symbolic, the forms depicted in Ereira-Guyer's work become vessels through which questions of ancestry, transformation and continuity are explored.

Working across painting and printmaking, Ereira-Guyer employs a layered process that combines traditional techniques with material experimentation. Images emerge through successive acts of inscription, transfer and erasure, allowing traces of previous states to remain visible within the finished surface. Forests dissolve into gestural marks, figures appear only fleetingly, and expansive spaces open onto moments of contemplation and uncertainty. The resulting works occupy a space between presence and absence, inviting reflection on the fragile connections that bind generations, landscapes and histories together.
